Scope and professional boundaries

Professional Scope & Disclosures

Clear service boundaries help owners understand the support Ellyanna can provide, the responsibilities that remain with the client, and when an independent regulated professional is required.

01

Provider and qualifications

People-delivered services described on this website are provided by Ellyanna Business Services Inc., an Ontario corporation located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The team’s professional and academic qualifications include CPA, CHRL, and MBA credentials. Individual names are not published on this page for privacy and security reasons.

Credentials describe the qualifications of the individuals who hold them. They do not mean that every service is a regulated accounting, human-resources, assurance, or public-accounting engagement, or that every team member holds every credential.

02

Written scope controls

Services are limited to the work, period, fees, responsibilities, deliverables, and exclusions stated in a written agreement. Website descriptions are illustrative and do not promise that every service is appropriate, available, or legally permitted in every province, industry, or fact pattern.

Changes in scope, urgent work, representation before an authority, access to client systems, and work involving sensitive records require express agreement. An engagement may be declined, suspended, or referred where information, authorization, capacity, independence, or professional requirements are not satisfied.

03

Business launch and setup

We may assist with launch-readiness assessments, incorporation-process coordination, business-number and tax-registration workflows, payroll-account readiness, bookkeeping-system setup, document organization, banking and payment checklists, compliance calendars, website-launch coordination, and referrals.

This is coordination, administrative support, and business implementation—not legal incorporation advice, a legal opinion, trademark-agent service, immigration service, or a guarantee of registration, approval, funding, or compliance.

04

Bookkeeping and financial organization

Services may include monthly bookkeeping, sales and expense organization, bank, credit-card, processor and booking-to-bank reconciliation, cash-deposit review, gift-card, deposit and tip tracking, accounts payable and receivable support, monthly close, owner-friendly summaries, accountant-ready files, and multi-location reporting.

Bookkeeping and management reporting depend on the records and explanations provided by the client. Unless separately authorized and expressly agreed in accordance with applicable professional requirements, this work is not an audit, review, compilation engagement, assurance engagement, independent verification, valuation, or opinion on financial statements.

05

Payroll and sales-tax support

We may support payroll onboarding, information collection, pay-stub preparation, commission, bonus, vacation and holiday-pay workflows, remittance schedules, T4 and year-end coordination, GST/HST and QST preparation support, reserve monitoring, deadline calendars, and document organization.

The client remains responsible for worker status, hours, rates, approvals, source documents, remittances, filings, and deadlines unless a written engagement expressly assigns a task to us. Employee, contractor, commission, and booth-rental classification can have legal and tax consequences and may require an employment lawyer, tax adviser, or government determination.

06

Financial controls and audit readiness

Readiness support may include consistency, cash-handling, documentation, payroll-record, sales-tax, internal-control, and missing-document reviews; government-request organization; accountant-ready packages; and corrective-action recommendations.

Audit readiness is not audit insurance, legal representation, assurance, guaranteed audit defence, or protection from an assessment, penalty, interest charge, investigation, or government action. Authorities and independent professionals make their own decisions.

07

Management and growth advisory

Advisory work may cover owner reviews, profitability and cash-flow analysis, labour-cost and productivity context, budgets, forecasts, pricing support, management reporting, procedures, accountability, multi-location reporting, marketing coordination, and business improvement plans.

Budgets, forecasts, recommendations, marketing plans, and business examples are based on assumptions and incomplete information about future events. They are not guarantees of revenue, profit, financing, valuation, customer acquisition, tax outcomes, or business success.

08

Franchise and expansion support

We may assist with franchise-readiness assessments, operating systems, procedures and manuals, location-opening checklists, onboarding processes, multi-location standardization, reporting systems, acquisition readiness, transition planning, controls, and coordination with franchise lawyers and other specialists.

Ellyanna Business Services Inc. is not offering or selling an Ellyanna franchise through this website. It does not grant franchise rights, collect franchise fees, recruit franchisees, prepare legal disclosure documents, or replace required franchise legal advice.

09

Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate, timely, and authorized information; safeguarding credentials; reviewing reports and drafts; approving payroll and payments; making business decisions; retaining original records; meeting deadlines; and promptly correcting errors or changed circumstances.

Unless the engagement expressly says otherwise, the client remains legally responsible for its books, records, employees, contractors, filings, remittances, registrations, licences, contracts, cybersecurity, and compliance.

10

Independent professionals, referrals, and third parties

Where regulated or specialized advice is required, we may recommend that the client retain an independent lawyer, licensed public accountant, tax specialist, insurance adviser, immigration professional, trademark agent, franchise professional, technology provider, or other qualified adviser. The client chooses and engages that provider unless otherwise agreed.

Third-party products, government systems, processing times, professional opinions, approvals, and decisions remain outside our control. Any material referral fee, ownership interest, or conflict known to us will be disclosed where applicable. Contact info@ellyanna.com with questions about scope before relying on a service description.
